The Cardiff Devils have re-signed Canadian forward Tyler Busch for the upcoming Elite League season. The 28-year-old, known for his versatility, scored 16 goals and provided 15 assists in 53 games last season.

Busch’s Performance and Impact
- Injury Comeback: Busch missed 15 games due to a shoulder injury but made a strong return in the closing weeks of the season. He led the Devils in the play-offs with three goals in four games.
- Versatility: Head coach Pete Russell praised Busch’s ability to play in any forward position, noting, “Tyler can play anywhere up and down the line-up and in any forward position. He is a big body that gets to the net and battles hard in the tough areas all over the ice.”
- Leadership: Russell also highlighted Busch’s leadership qualities, stating, “We really missed him on the ice when he was injured last season, and we really missed his presence in the locker room. He is a natural leader and a phenomenal teammate.”
Departure of Trevor Cox
Meanwhile, fellow Canadian forward Trevor Cox has left the Devils. Over his three seasons in Cardiff, Cox scored 63 goals and provided 155 assists in 201 games. The Devils announced that Cox is leaving to pursue a job opportunity outside of hockey.
